Advanced Restorative Doctor Training Format (8 hours)

As more dental patients become aware of their treatment options, the demand for dental implants will continue to increase. That’s why now, more than ever, highly proficient implant restorative doctors are in demand. In order to meet this demand, the ProEsthetic Know HOW Program was developed. This course provides clinicians with an opportunity to develop their technical skills and take a proactive lead in serving their patients and building their practices.

The objective of this program is to provide restorative doctors with the hands-on training and complex treatment planning necessary for tooth replacement therapy. Upon course completion, clinicians will have an enhanced level of technical proficiency to allow them to confidently and consistently provide safe and clinically based outcomes for their patients.

Course content includes:

• Treatment Planning Concepts and Considerations for Fully and Partially Edentulous Patients

This course is designed for restorative doctors who wish to further develop their technical and treatment planning skills. It is suggested that participants have experience restoring 10-20 implants and completed the Lifecore Prosthetic Know HOW Program, although it is not mandatory.

Implant Supported Overdentures: The Confidence of Stability, Simplified. (3 Hours)

The Lifecore Skills Series Overdenture Program is an ideal entry point into Tooth Replacement Therapy using dental implants. The objective is to use proven concepts and procedures to maximize restorative doctor comprehension.

The program also outlines how this beneficial and reliable procedure can be incorporated into the dental practice. Restorative doctors who provide overdenture treatment will notice a significant increase in patient satisfaction.

A Patient Education Model with implants is used for the hands-on review of the protocol for a two implant-supported bar attachment-retained overdenture and a two implant-supported attachment-retained overdenture.

The key is to understand what to say and how to say it. The Lifecore Skills Series Increasing Case Acceptance Program is based on proven patient education methods and treatment presentation approaches that lead to higher case acceptance. This outcome-based course is comprised of lecture and a question and answer session. Course methodology includes step-by-step problem/solution models, case photography, and specific verbal skills training that is valuable for surgical and restorative practices.

Building Your Implant Referring Team (Four Sessions: 28 Hours)

The Residency Programs are designed to create a cohesive team of dental implant experts that share the same goals and follow the same protocols to achieve the best result for the patient. The Lifecore Skills Series Residency Programs concept is to train as a group utilizing uniform procedures, treatments, and forms so that each team member is confident with the entire process from start to maintenance. This course is designed to involve not only the doctor and clinical staff, but also to include training for any office personnel who have contact with patients. The defined team for a dental implant case extends beyond your office and often includes the restorative doctor, radiologist, orthodontist, lab technicians, and the implant surgeon. Having all team members aware of the advantages, processes, and protocols will ensure a better experience for the patient. Session 1 consists of two separate programs running concurrently.

Managing Complex Cases (Two Sessions: 14 Hours)

Lifecore’s Mini Residency II program offers advanced training for restorative dentists who desire to get involved with more complex implant supported restorations. This advanced level of training offers treatment planning, case, and occlusal scheme design, and fee structuring for the complex implant supported restoration.

The program is designed to review predictable regenerative procedures available to reestablish the foundation for implant supported restorations. Treatment planning complex cases will provide practical learning experiences for attendees and equip them to properly communicate the potential treatment options available to potential implant patients. Cases involving lost vertical height, bone defects, and malocclusion will be covered in this program and provide answers to allow proper treatment for such scenarios. Participants are encouraged to bring their own cases for review and treatment.

Today’s patients have high expectations. This requires a complete understanding of the many regenerative processes that are available to reestablishing a tooth’s foundation and the restorative techniques available to achieve natural appearing restorations.
