Lifecore is pleased to be able to offer an expanded line of hyaluronan based biomaterials to the academic and corporate research communities through our distribution agreement, with Hyalose.    We believe it nicely complements Lifecore’s offering of pharmaceutical grade hyaluronan which is available in discreet lots with molecular weights from 5,000 – 2.5 million Daltons with polydispersity of 1.1-1.5 (a value of 1 is for a ‘perfect’ polymer).

Using enzymatic digestion, as well as it’s patented chemoenzymatic technology Hyalose produces hyaluronan oligomers as well as hyaluronan polymers with the lowest polydispersity indices achieved hitherto for any commercial product.

Oligo-HA™ is produced by testicular hyaluronidase digestion and subsequent purification. It consists of even-numbered hyaluronate oligomers that contain an N-Acetyl glucosamine unit at the reducing end.

Nano-HA™ is obtained by chemoenzymatic extension of Oligo-HA with UDP-precursors.

Select-HA™ is sodium hyaluronate obtained by enzymatic synthesis where a high level of size control combined with extraordinarily low polydispersity is possible. Polydispersity of the reagent in any size from 25,000 Daltons to 1.5 million Daltons is typically below 1.02.

Biotinylated Select-HA™ is a biotin-labeled Select-HA™. Each HA molecule has been end-labeled at the reducing terminus with a single biotin molecule.

Hyalose Ladders are designed as molecular weight size markers for agarose or acrylamide gels.
• HiLadder™ contains five Select-HA™ molecular weight markers in the range of ~500 kDa to ~1,500kDa.
• LoLadder™ contains five Select-HA™ molecular mass markers in the range of ~25 kDa to ~500 kDa.
• NanoHA10-20™ Ladder is a preparation of different sizes of sodium hyaluronate oligosaccharides, prepared by chemoenzymatic synthesis.  This ladder contains oligomers of HA10, HA12, HA14, HA16, HA18, HA20.
